An expectation or concern you had.We didn’t get a visa prior to our arrival to JFK for our trip. So just before boarding, at a counter across the waiting area to our gate, we filled out part of the visa that you need to leave the US (which is easy) and paid our price ($130 per person). For all the crazy things I had read online, it was actually fairly simple to acquire this.
With that being said, a concern I had and still do, as visitors we can be audited for our time in Cuba. If the government were to see this as a potential threat, we would have to produce documentation of the time we spent there and that in fact was for the support of Cuban people.
Why did you go there? First time?
Andrew and I went together, both for the first time.
What is the most predominant color?
reflected, hazy gold light and deep, waterlogged gray
Where did you fall asleep?
in Centro Habana at a wonderful AirBnb
A receipt. A ticket stub. A brochure. Something tangible.
Take a photo of something you are holding.
A song you heard.
A mode of transportation.
by foot, by car
Who did you talk to?
Yandro our host
a woman on the street who wanted to show us where to eat
a woman on the street who wished we could help her buy milk for her baby
a man who drove us to the airport
What did you learn?
First scent you noticed.
tobacco
How much is a cigarette? A drink?
A bus ticket?
How high were you? How low?
